Carmel IN – 2nd Qtr- 2011

Looking at the numbers from the second quarter (April through June) of 2010 to the second quarter of 2011, the Carmel real estate market has made improvements in some areas. More homes were listed in 2011, with 621 listed during those months in 2010, compared to 646 listed in 2011. The average sales price increased, from $310, 387 to $318, 444, indicating a stable market and stable home prices, good news for the area. The market also took some downturns in some areas with the number of homes selling dropping to 344 from 389 homes sold in 2010. Homes took two weeks longer to sell on average during the second quarter of 2011, with the average days on market increasing to 94 up from 80.
